Minu is the mother of 3 grown-up daughters Sumitra, Sandhya and Sanjana. She has been married to Sajen Aswani for 33 years now.

Her life now revolves around her portrait paintings and her other pastime, reading. She enjoys the performing arts and is a lover of nature too. Her belief in nature extends to eating only plant based foods.

She travels frequently and enjoys visiting museums that showcase history and artworks from previous eras.

Minu graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Sociology and Philosophy from the National University of Singapore.
